Photographer Henrik Jörnvall, who works as an anaesthetist at Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm and has spent many years carrying out fieldwork for Médecins Sans Frontières, captures animals and nature with a sense of presence that transports the viewer straight into the moment. Can you hear the leopard’s purr? Can you feel the draught from the eagle’s wingbeat? And what does it actually sound like beneath the surface of the sea?
