THOMAS JOHNSSON
Thomas Johnsson’s interest in photography began at an early age. Having worked in a photography studio alongside highly experienced photographers, the camera has always been close at hand. His subjects are mainly captured in Österlen in various forms; they are often images of unusual objects or old things, but also of the beautiful natural landscape. Since 2017, his interest in photography has grown, and Thomas Johnsson has published two photo books and is now working on a third book featuring local chefs, restaurants and a little bit of food. The books are produced in collaboration with an author and an art director.
Thomas’s photographs were exhibited at Ecotopia in the spring of 2023 and at an exhibition organised by the Absolut company in Åhus during the summer of 2022.
Thomas Johnsson has been living in Vik in Österlen for 15 years and works as a coordinator for the non-profit organisation Samverkan för Hanöbukten. Professionally, Thomas has spent many years as a Purchasing Manager at IKEA, both abroad and in Sweden.
Thomas Johnsson exhibited at Galleri Handell in Kivik, Österlen, in 2023. Works by Thomas Johnsson are available to buy this spring online shop.
